AUVSI Heartland Chapter Announces Unmanned Systems for Agriculture Conference

The Association of Unmanned Systems International (AUVSI) Heartland Chapter is pleased to announce a conference focusing on the application of unmanned systems within agriculture. The event is titled “Unmanned Systems & Agriculture: Realizing the Field of Dreams.” The event will be a 1 day conference emphasizing the regulatory and legal issues impacting the use of unmanned systems in agriculture as well as leading research and applications for the use of unmanned systems to improve agriculture.

The Heartland Chapter is hosting this event to nurture and expand partnerships amongst members of the unmanned systems community, business, academia and government and to help foster the use of unmanned systems within a core industry of our region. The event will also allow vendors to showcase their products to a rapidly growing industry. The Heartland Chapter anticipates 150-200 attendees comprised of 20 UAS platform and sensor companies, numerous universities throughout the region and UAS professionals. Registration for the conference is now open at the Heartland Chapter’s web site. Ample exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities are also available for organizations active in this market.

The conference will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, IA from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

The Heartland Chapter of AUVSI covers Wisconsin and Illinois – a very active region for the development and use of unmanned systems be they airborne, on land, or in the water. The Heartland Chapter brings unmanned system experts together from the private sector, academic, and government to pursue and advance the industry. Founded in 2014, the chapter is growing quickly.
